Funding Awarded for Common Good Philanthropies’ 2026 Immediate Impact Grant
Common Good Philanthropies (CGP) is thrilled to announce the recipients of the 2026 Immediate Impact Grant! Designed to meet timely needs with focused, short-term support, this grant helps nonprofits and state agencies turn promising ideas into meaningful action. By investing in innovative and inclusive approaches that benefit older adults and people of all abilities across Wisconsin, CGP aims to help partners strengthen their work today while contributing to stronger, more sustainable systems of care for the future.

Together, these projects reflect the spirit of Commonunity®, supporting opportunities for people to experience greater choice, belonging, accessibility, contribution, and a sense of home in their communities.
Common Good Philanthropies is awarding a total of $157,800 to the following organizations who will create an impact in Wisconsin's long-term services and supports field.
Award Recipients:
Asset Based Community Development Institute (ABCD Institute) - Expanding access to Asset-Based Community Development training and technical assistance for Wisconsin long-term care providers, older adults, people with disabilities, and family members through a customized training and follow-up coaching.
Cycling Without Age (Dementia Friendly Community Initiative, Inc.) - Purchasing and deploying a wheelchair-accessible Van Raam trishaw to expand outdoor mobility and social connection for older adults and adults with disabilities who cannot safely transfer to a standard passenger seat.
Haase Community Connections, Inc. - Developing a pilot-ready resource guide and planning roadmap to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, families, and caregivers navigate community-integrated housing options, with a focus on Adult Family Homes in smaller Wisconsin communities.
Meals on Wheels of Sheboygan County, Inc. - Strengthening organizational capacity through a consultant-led review of organizational structure, processes, and communications to support sustainable growth through mindful strategic planning.
Midstate Independent Living Choices, Inc. - Launching and piloting a fee-for-service program providing accessibility assessments, ADA guidance, disability inclusion training, and workplace accommodation consultation for businesses and community organizations.
Opportunity of North Central Wisconsin, Inc. - Launching an eight-week, hands-on training program to help adults with disabilities build skills for more independent, self-directed community living, including budgeting, food preparation, home management, transportation, self-advocacy, and community safety.
Rural Wisconsin, Inc. - Completing a feature documentary and community screening series to raise awareness of rural aging, challenge stereotypes about older rural residents, to enhance advocacy and inform public policy.
Staying Put, Inc. - Expanding a free weekly community meal program to reduce food insecurity and social isolation among older adults and adults with disabilities in rural Wisconsin.
